Alerant Inc. has relied on its experiences with developing corporate IT systems when creating its application developer framework. AFF provides assistance for the entire life cycle of development to everyone who is involved, as it contains a recommended application package, a development methodology and several own extensions. Using the framework accelerates the development process by making it transparent and manageable, and provides for a uniform development activity in a large, diverse and distributed environment as well.
The framework contains three main elements: development support application package, development methodology and additions to the recommended applications.
The technological base of the Alerant web GUI developer framework is the JSF Framework, a part of J EE standardized by Sun. This enables the development of modern, component-based web interfaces.
