The growth of Alerant Inc. that focuses on large enterprise information technology, primarily on application development-and integration, further continued in 2007 as well. Its revenues reached HUF 1.8 billion last year, showing a 12-percent increase as compared to its 2006 revenues.

Alerant increasingly focuses its activities on services associated with the implementation of service oriented solutions, thus its previous year’s revenues from application development-and integration increased extraordinarily, by 31 percent, reaching HUF 1.24 billion. The company has been providing SOA architecture-related consulting, project management and development services since 2004. The demand for these services massively increased from the second half of 2006 and this trend continued last year, too. As Tamás Szabó, Managing Director of Alerant Inc. commented the announcement: „The year 2007 was mainly focused on SOA on the large enterprise IT market – first of all in the telecommunication and financial sector. Almost all enterprises reviewed the option of creating a service oriented architecture. SOA implementations will expectedly reach a stage this year, when after the initial enthusiasm, particular goals and tasks will be defined.”

Alerant expects further growth in 2008. This year it will presumably further expand its services portfolio related to the implementation of service oriented architectures. As a first step of this, in February it announced the availability of SOA Start package, with which it provides assistance to companies for making decisions on and launching SOA solution.
