The basic requirement for integrated systems of our days is availability that cannot be guaranteed by the current services supporting reactive and proactive operation. Reactive services provide support only when a problem has already occurred, while the traditional proactive services rely on mere luck for problem avoidance: the service provider notifies the customer whenever a new patch/upgrade is issued, the operator installs them, then trusts in luck to be able to fend off errors with these.
The solution lies in the preemtive support service that deploys a tool to map the system it supports, pinpoints existing errors and sources of errors that may be potentially encountered in the future, and sends an automatic notification to the operator on what actions s/he should take in order to make sure that the given error does not lead to a system failure.
